It is almost 3:30 a.m. and I am awake.
Again.
I can sleep - during the day.
For now, I will content myself with watching a documentary on bears (thanks Hulu!) and waiting until dawn, at which point I'll probably drift off. Again.
Any tips on removing myself from the land of nocturnal creatures would be appreciated.

no tips, but i'm glad Hulu can assist you in some way! :)
Yay for Hulu! and You!
Yoga and meditation before bed and no phone calls from a certain boy after a certain reasonable hour! Hmmm.....
I agree with some of what Kathy said.
1) Internet curfew of 9p
2) ZERO Caffeine (if that's not possible, then at least after 2p)
3) Melatonin 1mg at 9p (available at any drugstore)
4) No exercise after 7p
5) I agree with Yoga and prayer and meditation before bed
6) Dinner earlier, snack at 8p
7) Keep a journal by your bed where you store all your worries, promising to pick them up the next morning and carry them around again
8) If you keep anything under your bed remove and store somewhere else (Feng Shui principles teach that under the bed or bedroom clutter distrubs sleep)
9) Make a bedtime ritual (e.g. Drink chamomile, say a particular prayer, listen to a particular CD - I found Christina Quinn's recording of the Long Healing Prayer particularly soothing)
Can you TELL I've dealt with insomnia plenty in my life? I went to a sleep doctor for most of the above advice. You get it for free. Praying for you, my friend.
